How and when do we collect information?

As of July 1st, 2019, We do not collect any information on our users, other than the information gathered on account registration. This may change in the future, and in the event that it does, you and all our users will be notified via their registered email addresses.
What information do we store and to what extent do we store it?

We store in our databases, with appropriate levels of encryption, all information that a user provides upon account registration and during their time interacting with the ClassHill platform. These interactions include but are not limited to creating discussions, sharing files, and interacting with other users on the ClassHill platform.

We take your privacy very seriously. We store all crucial information (e.g. passwords) in encrypted formats so that the information is not easily accessible by others.

Yes. If you wish to leave the platform, you can contact us via our email. You must note that when your account is deleted, the content you've shared will still remain on our servers. However, users throughout the platform will not be able to see your profile picture, or username on the content you have shared. Please see the image below to confirm how your posts will be displayed to others on the platform.

Your profile picture will display as a red avatar, and your username will be replaced by "deleted_user".
Who do we share your information with and in which circumstances is it shared?

We do not share your information with any third parties or other users of the platform. However if you choose to interact with other users on the platform, your username and picture will be shared with them in order to indicate you as the author of the interaction.

No. We are in no way obligated to cooperate with requests made by institutions. We are only obligated to provide the best privacy policy we can to our users.
